In the 2003 NFC wildcard game, Matt Hasselbeck made a claim that likely put a smile on Joe Namath’s (most likely inebriated) face. Headed to overtime with the Packers, a franchise that originally drafted him in the 6th round of the 1998 draft, Hasselbeck tried to punctuate a Seahawks victory during the coin toss that commenced the extra session. Once the ‘Hawks won the toss, Hasselbeck boldly exclaimed “We want the ball, and we’re going to score.”

The only problem with his claim ? Al Harris and Matt Hasselbeck were never teammates…
